So I have this presentation in English on Friday. The assignment is for us to pick a song (which has to do with some kind of ‘social-issue’ whether it be about wars, politics, racism, etc.) I picked the song Fuck You (Very Much) by Lily Allen because 1. I fucking love Lily Allen 2. The song is awesome 3. It’s a protest song against George W. Bush

I know that Bush isn’t so present right now since he’s no longer the President of the US, but the wars he started are still on-going, and also our teacher said it was okay to pick old issues too (since there’s more songs about things that have already happened than songs about the present).

Now I have a really hard time to explain why Lily is singing about him. All I want to do is to say “isn’t it obvious? he’s a dick” but I’m pretty sure that if I say that, I’ll get an F. But how else do I explain why the song is so anti-GWB? Do I seriously need to do some serious research about him. Ugh. I don’t wannaaa.

This is so frustrating! I hate doing anything where I have to stand in front of a group of people and talk. I don’t like to be the center of attention, it makes me feel uneasy. ;_;
