I’ve never been one of those kids who were glued to Nickelodeon when Avatar was on. I guess I never cared to watch it. But I will this summer, I promise that I’ll finish all three seasons during this summer! :)
But why did I do a fan art of Korra if I’m yet not a fan? Well, I have this friend who LOVES Avatar with her whole heart. She’s literally the biggest fan of Avatar ever, and I thought I’d make a drawing for her of Korra because I know she totally adores Korra. Plus I find Korra’s character design to be really neat looking! :D
I hope Camilla will like the drawing, even though Korra looks really different when drawn in my style than she actually looks like in the show. ;A;
This is one of the first assignments we got in our animation class when we had just started school, which means it’s quite old. The project went out on that we all made two identical key drawings and gave one of them away to someone else in class. Then we had to go from our own key drawing to the drawing we had recieved; creating a metamorphosis loop. :)
I finally decided to just pick the paint brush up and paint a portrait of my favourite Sherlock Holmes, portrayed by the handsome Benedict Cumberbatch. :B
My skills aren’t good enough to compare to how gorgeous he is, but at least I tried!
You should know that I’m really not a fan of working with realistic portraits, so this was quite the challenge to me. The face looks a bit odd because I got a bit lazy with the shading, plus every time I tried to correct the painting, I always just messed it up even further. Sometimes I wish there was a back space button in real life. ;u;
This might be my new dA ID if it turns out decent enough when I’m finished with it. :B Hopefully it will turn out OK since I really need a bit of change on my ID since my current one is getting a bit old. + v+);
I’m sorry for the horrible quality, I had to take a picture of the painting with my cellphone’s camera (which isn’t very good as you can tell), since the drawing is painted on A3, and I didn’t have any access to any scanner that works for A3 pictures. ): I will upload a better quality-version when ever I get the chance to scan it properly~ But for now, this will have to do~!
This is for an assignment I got in class where we have to paint (using acrylics) posters that include some sort of movement and a sound effect. And since I’m in my Whovian-phase, I just couldn’t help to do something Doctor Who related. The character in the painting (for those who aren’t familiar with Doctor Who) is Amy Pond. It’s not that she’s my favourite companion, because she isn’t, but because she’s sort of a celeb-girl-crush-thing. +___+ And also; she’s just so beautiful (and funny<3)!
And then of course, we cannot forget the TARDIS. (:
I’m not so sure about the sound effects though, it was actually really difficult for me to come up with how I would manage to make the sounds of the TARDIS, into actual lettered-out words. “VWORP VWORP” was the closest I got to what ever the breaks on the TARDIS sound like.
