So I just read my speech out loud and omg… it sounds so lame. Why can’t I be cool? :(

I’m trying to write my speech for Thursday right now and oh my god I don’t know what I’m doing. The theme to the speech has to do something with relationships, any kind of relationships.

So I was going to talk about fandoms and “why do we care so much for fictional characters and their relationships?” - but since I couldn’t really find any statistics or reliable sources to why we care, I gave up on that topic. Now I’m writing a speech about “Are Online Friends = Real Friends?” It’s kind of a developed version of the argumentative essay that I wrote not too long ago with the help of some of you guys. :) Also, I hope it’s OK that I might mention some of you as an example in my speech. +_+

I was like super nervous this morning because of the speech. The girl speaking before me was just so good, I was like, omg hao2do better, it’s impossible. ;A; Then it was my turn. My voice was all shaky because I was nervous, but I managed2speak. I kind of lost myself at some points and I missed two sections that I was going to tell about, but it didn’t really matter.

But omg I just wanted to go to Camilla and hug her when I stood up there because her eyes were getting all teary because of my speech. And I was like omgwhat2do ;_; so I tried to not look at her and I moved my look automatically to Denise, and she just gave me that big chicken-dance-smile. And I totally lost my words, omg. All I could think of was the .gif of the man dancing with fried chicken, omg. D: But then I got back on track and finished my speech. :D

My teacher liked it, she thought it was nice how I started it with a question, had some jokes in it to make it interesting and ended it with a quote. She thought my English was pretty flawless (I’d say otherwise +_+) and the only thing I would have to work on is that I try not to show how nervous I really am.
